Chapman accepts farm-pond challenge

Brent Chapman takes on the daunting task of competing against the owner (and creator) of a fertile Kansas farm pond in the latest episode of Pro vs. Joe.

“I’ve said it a lot throughout the years; sometimes you need to go catching instead of fishing," Chapman said. "Getting a challenge against an angler with his own pond that he’s built on his farm was exciting. I knew I was up against a huge home-field advantage, but I’ve never turned down an opportunity to fish a good farm pond.”

“Perry (Madl) was a great challenger because he represents the majority of anglers – he’s a fun-fisherman. He only gets out a handful of times every year and it’s always on his own farm pond. He showed up with two rods and a few baits. He literally carried all his tackle onto the boat in his hands, not a tackle box, which I think is a lot more like the majority of fisherman across the country than the guy with 20 rods and a boat full of tackle.”
