CAST Crew, a hard-core group of Chicago-based anglers with a mission to take fishing from a pastime to a lifestyle, joins Mike Iaconelli on the “Urban Fishing Special” of Ike Live! this Sunday. The show will stream live from MikeIaconelli.com at 6 p.m. ET.
CAST Crew mixes fishing with street culture, music, fashion, and lots of creativity for a full body-mind-soul experience. They fish from concrete shorelines, traffic buzzing in the background, mix-tapes playing in their ears and GoPros recording the reel-to-bass combat. They design their own sportswear and promote the urban fishing movement across the U.S.
“These people didn’t learn fishing at their father’s side. They saw it on TV and online, and started casting right off the Navy Pier in Chicago,” said Iaconelli. “For them, it’s a new sport, and for the fishing world, it’s a new audience.”
