It was reported this week that the Jarden Corp., parent company of Pure Fishing, was purchased by Newell Rubbermaid in a deal worth nearly $16 billion.
Pure Fishing is made up of 17 brands that include Berkley, Abu Garcia, Fenwick, Spiderwire and Stren. In all, there are 120 brands in the Jarden portfolio.
