Bagley to sponsor Mexico's Lizcano

Bagley Bait Company announced that it's entered into a sponsorship agreement with Mexican angler Arturo Lizcano.

“Many areas within Mexico are bass hotbeds for the sport," said Bagley president Don Hulstrand. "Many die-hard U.S. bass guys know this well. Some of the bass fisheries are incredible for the quantity and size of fish they hold. As a result, professional fishing events in Mexico are growing quickly and gaining significant visibility for the sport.

Adding a pro to our staff with Arturo’s wealth of experience and qualifications is exciting and represents our desire for greater influence in this growing market. With over 20 years of experience in fishing and also as an instructor, Arturo is highly respected within the Mexican fishing world. We are thrilled to be partnered with him.”

Lizcano's list of accomplishments include:

> Champion of Mexico Master Tournament, 2006;
> 3rd place in Mexico Bass National Championship, 2010;
> 3rd place (bronze medal) in World Bass Fishing Championship in Italy, 2011;
> 5th place in Mexico Bass National Championship, 2013;
> 2nd Place (silver medal) in World Bass Fishing Championship in Mexico, 2014.

Bagley said in a press release that Lizcano will be fishing a full slate of events within and outside of Mexico this year and hopes to again qualify for the Bass Fishing World Cup, to be held in Portugal in 2017.
