New e-book offers sponsorship insights

A couple of veterans of the professional walleye circuits have produced an e-book titled Get Paid to Fish – How to Catch and Keep Sponsors that contains forwards from Kevin VanDam and Al Lindner.

The e-book, written by Grand National Walleye Cup founder Bernie Barringer and longtime Professional Walleye Trail director Jim Kalkofen, features contributions from about a dozen pro bass, crappie and walleye anglers.

“This book is a must-read for anyone wanting to make a living in the fishing business," said Lindner. "That includes guides, tournament anglers, manufacturer’s reps, the outdoor media, tackle and marine companies, retailers, and everybody associated with the great sport of fishing.”

Added VanDam: “Being a professional angler has many rewards. You will be your own boss. You will have more opportunities than you ever imagined. You will meet some of the greatest people in the world. This life can be yours. It is attainable. But, behind the scenes, 99 percent of the public don’t know what it takes.

"With hard work and knowing the rules of the road that are in this book, they will understand some of the next steps necessary for success.”

The e-book is available in the Kindle Store at Amazon.com. For more, click here.
