Bryant Smith seems to be the only angler in the Clear Lake Western FLW Series field who's capable of catching a stringer in excess of 20 pounds this week.
Smith, who resides in Castro Valley, Calif., backed up his 20-15 opening-day sack with a 20-08 haul in Friday's second round. He'll start the final day with a lead of more than 6 pounds over 2nd-place Clayton Eslick. Kyle Grover, who occupies the No. 3 position, is nearly 8 pounds back.
