Garmin named to Forbes’ Just 100 list

When it comes to being a “just” company, Garmin made the cut at No. 41 on Forbes Magazine’s Just 100 list for 2018, which is featured in the magazine’s Dec. 26 edition.

The consumer electronics company, which has made significant investments in its marine electronics division in recent years, ranked ahead of other household brand names like Amazon.com, General Mills, Verizon and Facebook.

To compile the list, Forbes partnered with Just Capital to analyze surveys of 72,000 Americans who were asked to describe what a “just” company was. Important areas included producing quality goods, customer service standards, environmental impact awareness, community initiatives, ethical and diverse leadership and treatment of workers. Forbes then examined about 1,000 of the nation’s largest publicly-traded companies to determine who are the best corporate citizens.
