On Thursday, FLW Tour angler Randy Haynes posted to his Facebook page a lengthy explanation of his decision to withdraw from the Kentucky Lake FLW Tour part way through day 3 of competition last weekend. The nearly 1,100-word post represents Haynes' first public comments since last Saturday when he opted to cede a spot to eventual tournament winner Jason Lambert after the two started the day fishing rub rail to rub rail. Haynes had led the event after days 1 and 2, with Lambert close behind in 2nd.
The episode was caught on FLW Live cameras and has stoked a debate amongst fans and other anglers as to how the situation was handled by both Haynes and Lambert.
