A parade of anglers came across the weigh-in stage today with 20-plus pound stringers of Lake Erie smallmouth as the second tournament of the Northern FLW Series got underway in Buffalo, N.Y.
A total of 44 pros, more than a quarter of the field, cracked the 20-pound mark on a day when the winds were manageable until late in the afternoon.
Ontario pro Neil Farlow led the procession with 24-04, aided by a 6-06 kicker that was the big fish of the opening day. His total put him one ounce ahead of New Yorker Ben Wright.
