Fishing tackle giant Pure Fishing, which counts Abu Garcia, Berkley, Penn and Shakespeare among its many brands, could be sold within the next month, according to a report by Angling International.
The report, posted on the industry news publication's website, stated that Newell Brands, Pure Fishing's parent company, has had talks with "several interested parties" and a sale is imminent "within weeks."
Newell has been actively seeking a buyer for Pure Fishing since May as part of a larger corporate restructuring at the consumer goods company.
