After spending the past month fishing Lake St. Clair and productive smallmouth lakes in New York on the Bassmaster Elite Series, New Jersey bass pro and owner of Upper Bay Guide Service Greg DiPalma, joins host JP DeRose to talk fall smallmouth tactics on Shimano’s Fishing School live series. The event will take place this Wednesday (Sept. 2) on Facebook and YouTube starting at 8 pm EST. To watch the show, visit https://www.facebook.com/FishShimanoNorthAmerica, or on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/user/FishWithShimano.
Fishing the Elite Series has expanded DiPalma’s bass fishing knowledge beyond the waters of the East Coast and the Chesapeake Bay, where he spends his offseason guiding out of the town of North East, Maryland. His interest in competitive bass fishing began at local club tournaments and expanded at state- and regional-level events including the Bassmaster Opens. DiPalma parlayed his success to qualify for the Elite circuit in 2019, as well as the 2020 Bassmaster Classic.
During the hour-long Fishing School event, DiPalma and DeRose will discuss optimal reel set-ups for a variety of smallmouth techniques. They will also touch on some of the new for 2020 tackle from Shimano that will start showing at tackle shops this month.
