Hackney will fish Elite Series next year

Greg Hackney confirmed in a Facebook post this week that he'll return to the Bassmaster Elite Series in 2021 after 2 seasons on the MLF Bass Pro Tour.

Hackney, the winner of the MLF World Championship in 2018, was the runner-up to Jason Christie in this year's Bassmaster Central Opens points race. The Top 4 in the final standings in the Central and Eastern Opens divisions and the overall Opens Angler of the Year list are guaranteed Elite Series slots.

Hackney's other tour-level achievements include an Elite Series AOY title (2014), a Forrest Wood Cup championship (2009) and an FLW Tour AOY (2005). He's amassed more than $3.6 million in career earnings.
