Joe Balog had discussions recently with a few of the anglers who've departed the Bass Pro Tour and some who remain on the BPT roster. None spoke on the record due to sponsorship and other considerations, but it was clear that such decisions aren't based on tournament formats or a notion that one organization cares about them more than another. It's all about their personal situation and what they see as their best path to a sustainable career in a field that's not conducive to stability.
