The Bass University offering Zoom classes

The Bass University, the leading source of educational materials and opportunities for bass anglers, is launching a new series of live online video training sessions using Zoom technology to allow for the real-time transfer of information between students and top pros. Mike Iaconelli and Pete Gluszek crafted the Bass University teaching model, which incorporates top professional anglers who educate students on seasonal patterns, techniques, lure modifications and more using state-of-the-art presentation technology. The Bass University’s comprehensive teaching model was developed through decades of hard-learned lessons competing on the sports biggest stages.

This year’s sessions begin on February 16, 19 and 20. March dates will be announced soon. Each event consists of six (6) classes per day.

> February 16
Instructors: Harvey Horne, Buddy Gross, Gerald Swindle
Topics include: Comprehensive electronics, advanced swimbaits and more

> February 19
Instructors: Brandon Cobb, John Crews, Hank Cherry
Topics include: Year-round topwater, targeting the shad spawn, jerkbaits and more

> February 20
Instructors: Patrick Walters, Jake Whitaker, Shane LeHew
Topics include: Sniper fishing using forward-facing sonar, spinnerbaits for kicker bass and more

“You don’t need to leave home to interact with the world’s best bass pros,” said Iaconelli. “Our proven teaching model takes anglers through seasonal patterns, cutting-edge techniques, bait modifications, bass structure and cover and much more. In addition, anglers can pre-order the lures and gear the instructors will be teaching about for an amazing interactive learning session.”

Students will get a $20 coupon for use on Rapala’s sales portal and a 15 percent off coupon for use at Tackle Warehouse. Additionally, prizes will be given out each day from T-H Marine, Tackle Warehouse and Gillz Gear.

The cost of each class is $24.99 for Bass U TV subscribers and $49.99 for non-subscribers.

“This is a huge opportunity for serious anglers to learn from the very best,” said Gluszek. “Using streaming technology, we are now able to bring our classroom experience to our students with no geographic barriers whatsoever. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned angler, The Bass University classes are designed to help you catch more and bigger bass.”
