Father's 60-year-old state record remains intact

Gainesville, Mo. resident Mike Bushong knows the exact spot on Bull Shoals Lake where his late father, Marvin, caught the Missouri state record largemouth in April 1961. He fished there last week on the 60th anniversary of the feat, attempting to beat the mark. He failed in that quest, but reminisced about his dad's long-standing record with a reporter from the Ozark County Times.
