Elites to drop worst finish in Classic race

B.A.S.S. announced this week that it will drop each Bassmaster Elite Series angler's worst 2021 finish in determining berths for next year's Classic as part of a COVID stipulation. The drops will not impact the Angler of the Year standings nor requalification for the 2022 season.

The stipulation was requested by the anglers in the event of someone having to miss a tournament due to a COVID-related illness. That occurred in the season-opening event at the St. Johns River, which David Fritts was forced to sit out.
