Sprague loses 33 places in points standings

Sprague loses 33 places in points standings

Major League Fishing has updated the Angler of the Year (AOY) points standings for the Bass Pro Tour in the wake of Jeff Sprague's forfeiture of his 5th-place finish at this year's opener in Louisiana due to a violation of the no-information rule. The penalty cost Sprague 33 positions, dropping him from 21st to 54th and outside the cut line for next year's REDCREST Championship (Top 40).

The adjustment to the tournament standings had no other impact on the Top 20 in the points race. Some anglers below that mark rose or fell as many as four places.
