Big Bass Podcast addresses record smallie

This week and for the next two weeks, The Big Bass Podcast is taking on the story of the world-record smallmouth bass caught by David L. Hayes from Dale Hollow Reservoir in 1955. The story has a strange and controversial history as the record was disqualified in 1996 due to allegations of wrongdoing. Then, in 2005, after a lot of sleuthing by Ken Duke, the record was reinstated.

Over the next two weeks Duke and Terry Battisti will tell that story in greater detail than it’s ever been covered before – the catch, the allegations that took the fish out of the record books, and its reinstatement as the world and state records. In the third and final episode, they'll drop a new bomb that may call the fish into question once again!
