Major League Fishing announced today that Texan Dakota Ebare has relinquished his spot on the 2024 MLF Bass Pro Tour and will be replaced by Italy's Jacopo Gallelli.
Ebare (pictured) has been one of the hottest anglers in the sport since the start of summer 2022, compiling an astounding 10 single-digit finishes over the course of 15 events between the BPT and the former MLF Pro Circuit, including five runner-up showings. He was 5th in the 2023 BPT Angler of the Year race and was 4th the previous year.
Ebare also won last year's MLF Invitationals event on Clarks Hill Lake.
Gallelli, who won a Pro Circuit event at the Potomac River in 2021, was 14th on last year's Invitationals points list.
The sixth season of the BPT kicks Jan. 30-Feb. 4 at Toledo Bend Reservoir in Many, Louisiana.
