KVD TV show set to debut next year

Kevin VanDam, the most accomplished professional bass angler in history, will share his extensive outdoor experience with viewers across the world with his new show, The VanDam Experience, which will debut in 2025.

VanDam’s success across multiple bass fishing tours over 33 years of competition is unprecedented. His accolades include seven Bassmaster Angler of the Year titles, four Bassmaster Classic wins, one FLW Tour Angler of the Year and 29 national tour wins. VanDam has also been inducted into the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, the IGFA Hall of Fame, the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame and the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame.

“It’s time to start the next chapter of my career,” VanDam said. “With that, I’m excited to announce that The VanDam Experience will debut on the Outdoor Channel in January of 2025 with 13 original episodes.”

Since retiring from full-time competitive fishing in last September, VanDam and his team have been busy building KVD Outdoors productions, which will produce The VanDam Experience as well as a host of other fishing and outdoor content for social media and YouTube.

“The idea is to have control over the creation and content of the shows so I can bring the best information and entertainment to fans everywhere,” he added. “I have been planning to produce a fishing show for a long time and now is the time to do it. I have plenty of engaging content to share with fishing fans and those who love the great outdoors.”

Given VanDam’s deep well of tournament fishing experience and long-standing relationships with high-profile personalities and celebrities, he wants the shows to be both fun and educational. He has fished many of the country’s greatest lakes, reservoirs and rivers across 48 states. The VanDam Experience will give viewers a, “then and now,” perspective of each location.

“I’ll travel back to some of the iconic waters I have fished in the past,” he said. “We’ll take a look at how these fisheries have changed over the years and demonstrate better ways to fish them with the newest innovations in tackle and technology.”

Though The VanDam Experience will lean heavily towards the pursuit of bass, the show will not be limited to just fishing.

“I love fishing, but I also enjoy all kinds of outdoor experiences, including hunting, camping and cooking,” he said. “Don’t worry, we will be catching plenty of bass, but there will be a few surprise adventures along the way as well.”

“I guarantee you we will have fun and take the time to enjoy the moment in the outdoors,” VanDam added. “Whether you are a long-time fishing fan who followed my career from the beginning or a new angler looking to learn the latest fishing tactics and techniques, The VanDam Experience will have something for everyone to enjoy."
