Wilks gets deal with swimbait manufacturer

Former Bassmaster Elite Series pro Dustin Wilks, host of the “Catching Bass With Dustin Wilks“ TV show and a frequent BassFan contributor, has entered into a sponsorship agreement with hand-poured swimbait company Top Shelf Tackle.

“There are lots of good swimbaits out there, but I’ve finally found exactly what I was looking for in Top Shelf Tackle’s Deep Runner line," Wilks said. "What has always been a holdup for me is how slowly you had to fish line-through baits. With the Deep Runner line I can now cover water efficiently and show a big bait to lots of fish throughout the day as well as plunge them into the deep when necessary."

The Top Shelf Tackle Deep Runner comes in 5-inch and 7-inch versions. The 5-inch is excellent for spots and smallmouth and gets down in the water column quickly with excellent hookup ratios. The 7-inch is also weighted to achieve greater depth or more speed.

In addition to the Deep Runner, Top Shelf offers a variety of other swimbaits, including the Gizzard Wizard and Original Swimbait - all custom-poured in many unique colors.
