ASA rallies against Georgia restrictive access bill

The American Sportfishing Association is opposing a bill being considered by the state Senate in Georgia that would restrict the places where the public can fish and hunt. According to the ASA, HB 1172, which is backed by landowners claiming ownership of stream beds, goes against a law enacted last year that ensures access to Georgia's streams that are held in the public trust.
