Toyota Series at Grand offers many options

GROVE, Okla. –The Major League Fishing (MLF) Toyota Series is set to return to Grove, Oklahoma this week for the second event of the 2024 Plains division at Grand Lake. Competition days are Thursday through Saturday.

Bass in all three phases of the spawn have been caught at Grand recently, so anglers will be able to fish to their strengths. Expect forward-facing sonar to play a role in this event. Swimbaits, umbrella rigs, crankbaits and jigs will all be strong players, as will the soft-plastic minnows and minnow-type baits used by the forward-facing sonar anglers. A three-day total of 50 to 54 pounds is expected to be the winning weight.

Anglers will launch at 7 a.m. CT each day from Wolf Creek Park, located at 963 N. 16th St. in Grove. Weigh-ins will also be held at Wolf Creek Park and will begin at 3 p.m. on Days 1 and 2, and at 4 p.m. on Day 3.
