LEESBURG, Fla. – After consulting with the National Weather Service, B.A.S.S. officials have postponed Day 1 of competition of the Bassmaster Elite Series event at the Harris Chain of Lakes due to high winds and the possibility of severe weather, including sustained winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 40 to 45 miles per hour. This afternoon’s forecast includes the possibility of lightning and hail as well as wind gusts of up to 50 to 60 miles per hour.
