RE: Zona's tribute to Martens – I didn't hear of his passing until today, which shocked me because I am also dealing with a brain tumor. Well, if I pass, I know I'm going to be in good company and have fun talking fishing, not only with him but also my dad, who passed away in March 2017.

  • Chris Wells of Greer, SC writes:

I counted the number of times they said, "I love you, bro." Twelve times – one for every month of the year. John 13:35 in the the NLT version says, "Your love for one another will show the world that you are my disciples."

  • David Harrison of Huntsville, AL writes:

What happened to "B.A.S.S. Class"? B.A.S.S. is most definitely playing politics by not showing John Cox. I was so mad they would not show him, he is one of my favorites. And I love that he is a pure fisherman, regardless of trail. Very poor look by B.A.S.S. I've been a member since '77. If this continues I am done.

  • David Harrison of Huntsville, AL writes:

Very happy with the new Hall of Fame class. I was also very glad to see Dewey Kendrick included. He was a great tournament director and good friend and mentor to me when I was young.

  • Beth Crandell of Whiting, NJ writes:

RE: Zona's tribute to Martens – I do not know anything about fishing ... just was watching with my boyfriend. When the segment was over and it showed his birth and death dates, I just gasped. Never heard of him, but I was so shaken. Rest in peace, dear Aaron.

  • Jon Augustine of Des Moines, IA writes:

Awesome show! Great tribute from Mark Zona to one of the greatest natural fishermen ever created by God!

  • Bobby Colson of Mt. Juliet, TN writes:

Cox got a lot of time before the Classic last year ... a video on him and his best friend Keith Carson both fishing. If the powers that be are limiting his screen time because of fishing politics, they won't be able to continue to because he is going to catch them everywhere, and limited time on B.AS.S. is better than prime time anywhere else.

  • Thomas Tanner of Jonestown, PA writes:

MLF claiming to be the most watched competitive fishing show should come as no surprise. It's on all the outdoor networks all the time and they run the same shows over and over until you can hardly stand to watch it. That doesn't make it great, anymore than watching the same insurance commercial over and over while you try to watch something on TV.

  • Paul J. Wallace of Cambridge City, IN writes:

B.A.S.S. St Johns tournament coverage: I find it funny/sad that B.A.S.S. refused to cover John Cox on day 2 or 3 even though he caught the largest bag and was in 2nd place going into Sunday's final. I assume it's something to do with John fishing two tournament trails?

  • Todd Langford of Great Falls, VA writes:

So when can we start limiting the use of LiveScope/Panoptix in tournaments?

  • Terry Bonsell of Fruitland Park, FL writes:

RE: 2023 Classic – B.A.S.S. keeps revisiting the same sites. Disappointing.

  • Terry Bonsell of Fruitland Park, FL writes:

Professional bass fishing is the only sport where the to- level participants are permitted to drop down to a lower level. Baseball, basketball, hockey, football do not.

  • Ryan Bowman of Seneca, SC writes:

So-called professional bass fishing is the only sport that the highest level pros are allowed to compete in entry-level tournaments. BPT pros in BFLs. Not very professional, in my opinion. Just greedy.
