RE: Balog on Omori – Great column! I think a lot of us prefer watching the chuck and wind or flip guys, rather than watching someone use forward-facing sonar and staring at their graphs.

RE: B.A.S.S. Nation change – I was on the Alabama B.A.S.S. Federation State Team in 1992 when we won the Southern Divisional at Kentucky Lake. I am totally against this move. Everyone has "time" to join a club. You don't have to fish every event, and you can fish as a no-boater. I fished in Christian Bassmen with Dewey Kendrick when I was in high school and college (Auburn), long before high school and college fishing teams. This change will have more semi-pros and guides jumping in to get the Classic berth. At least before they had to join one or create a club on paper, which many did. Not going to help the true "grassroots" anglers. And high school and college anglers already have new paths, which us "old-schoolers" did not have.
RE: Seminole preview – 60 to 70 percent of fish being spawners and being pulled off beds. That sounds great for a successful spawn.
RE: Balog on Omori – Best Classic win ever.
RE: Card's health issues – Brandon, you look great fishing the Bassmasters. I prayed for your healing and believe God delivers healing. We are currently dealing with a similar situation with my granddaughter who is almost 4 years old. One day she said her head hurts and that night had a seizure. She was motionless for 12 minutes after with no bodily responses. After an ambulance ride and ER visit of only 3 hours they sent her home. That was 2 weeks ago. She had a droop on the right side of her face and we finally have an appointment with an infectious disease doctor this coming Friday. We will continue to pray for your healing and also hers. Keep healing in Jesus' name and may you do well on the tour this year!
RE: KVD's announcement – I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin several times over the years. He came in as a relatively unknown "Yankee" and leaves as the greatest tournament angler of all time. He is a first-class person and has been a real credit to the fishing industry. WIth some of our other angling heroes getting up in years, I hope that he becomes the next TV angler for future generations to follow.
RE: Wilks' tiny topwater – I watched that show! What a great change you made by going to the smaller bait. Love the show, keep 'em coming.
