Don't let the never-ending quest for in-boat tackle organization overwhelm your fishing day. Those who figure out a better storage solution generally catch more bass. Recent innovations in boat-tackle systems, tackle organizers and new tackleboxes have all helped, but finding the right way to stay organized, and get to your stuff in short order, is still a major concern.

TackleRac has eliminated that problem with its new organizer that puts your most-used baits and tools within reach of your fingertips, but also keeps them from cluttering the floor. All of us who fish know the pains of piling up baits on the deck or the floor of the boat, and also hunting for that perfect bait while on the water.

The TackleRac allows anglers to place spinnerbaits, jigs, buzzbaits, crankbaits and clippers, scissors and needlenose pliers in a handy location near the front deck and within arm's reach when they're needed.

Rubber inserts in the tool slots ensure the tools stay firmly in place. Tournament anglers who plan for the next day can easily secure the baits of the day, and access them, without opening a single lid or digging around like a squirrel looking for a nut.

Made in the USA out of lightweight (yet durable) aluminum, the TackleRac requires no drilling or new holes in the boat and comes in 9", 12" and 18” models in an array of colors to match your boat's interior. Mounted with durable 3M tape, the TackleRac can be placed on just about any smooth surface. (Screws are provided for more permanent mounting, but aren't necessary.)

Each model is specialized by size and feature function, so all you have to do is pick a spot, measure the flat surface, choose the color and you're ready to be "whacked" no more by flying baits and tools.

Tested under some rough conditions, like waves of 3 to 4 feet in a Ranger 520, we didn't lose a single bait and the pliers and scissors stayed in place throughout a 20-minute run.

TackleRac also has a 12" JigRac – great for keeping loads of jigs onhand and at the ready.
