After last week's FLW Series (Cumberland, Ky.) and Bassmaster Elite Series (Clarks Hill, Ga.) events, Georgia rookie Tim Farley still leads the BassFan Rookie of the Year (ROY) Race. He's only fished two events so far, and a 1st and 49th (Cumberland) keep him at the top.
> FLW Series rookies Michael Murphy (Elgin, S.C.), Marty Sisk (Evansville, Ind.) and Steve Wright (Oskaloosa, Iowa) occupy the next three spots. A 5th at Cumberland helps Wright jump up a huge 19 spots.
> Ohio Elite Series rookie Bill Lowen had his worst finish of the season at Clarks Hill (87th), but he still moves up one spot to 5th.
> California Elite Series rookie Jared Lintner had his best finish last week (7th), and moves up four spots in the race to 6th.
> West Virginia's Jeremy Starks, an Elite Series rookie, seems like he is fishing better. A 37th at Clarks Hill pops him up six places to 10th.
Notable
> Remember that because the FLW Series is new, BassFan will continue to keep an eye on its strength of field relative to the Elite Series and FLW Tour. If the strength of FLW Series fields turns out to be materially lower than that of the other two trails, the formula (and thus the standings) will be adjusted accordingly.
