Joe Balog was a bit disheartened to read the recent Bassmaster.com interview in which the legendary Rick Clunn revealed that he'll begin to rely much more heavily on gathering pre-tournament information from local sources. On the flip side, however, he fully understands that info-gathering is one of the primary components of modern professional bass fishing and an angler who refuses to do it can be at a major disadvantage.
