Rose: Garmin on cutting edge

Arkansas FLW Tour pro Mark Rose has amassed a lot of money fishing offshore in recent years, so last week's announcement that he'd switched from Lowrance to Garmin electronics was a significant development.

"I am not one who likes change," he said. "However, sometimes you have to make big decisions that are best for your career. I have to stay on the cutting edge in electronics and I want to work for good people. Therefore, Garmin is the best choice for me."

Garmin, of course, is happy that an offshore stick of Rose's caliber has opted to join the company's pro staff.

“The Garmin team has more than doubled in size over the last 2 years," said VP of worldwide sales Dan Bartel. "It’s an impressive group of anglers who, like Mark, have joined the Garmin team because they believe it will give them the competitive edge.

"Garmin is more committed than ever to being a top player in the freshwater fishing industry, and we’re so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of Mark’s success on the water.”
