Davis aligns with Okuma

Clent Davis, who'll make his debut on the Bassmaster Elite Series this year after 5 seasons on the FLW Tour, has signed a sponsorship deal with Okuma. He'll be using the company's Helios rods and reels.

“We’re very excited to have Clent on board,” said Okuma promotions manager Dave Brown. “His resume speaks volumes to his ability as an angler, and of equal importance, Clent is an individual we’re proud to work with as a person. Clent is a guy that’s a fierce competitor on the water, but exceptionally kind an approachable when the weigh-in is over. We’re proud to stand behind his fishing, his young family and his goals.”

Said Davis: "This season is something I've been prepping for my entire career. By adding Okuma rods and reels to my boat for 2016, I think I have the tools necessary to succeed – now I just need to get out there and get it done. You can't compete against these guys without the very best equipment on the market, and the Okuma Helios rods and reels are at the top of the game."
