Howell's boat up for grabs again

Howell's boat up for grabs again

For the sixth year in a row, the tournament boat used by Randy Howell will be given away as part of a fundraising effort to benefit King's Home, a faith-based charity devoted to assisting women and children in Chelsea, Ala.

In the previous five years, more than $700,000 has been raised for the organization.

"We are thankful to have this opportunity every year to make a difference," Howell said.

The winner of this year's boat will be announced on Nov. 12 as part of a youth fishing event at King's Home. Members of 12 area high school fishing teams will be present to give 1-on-1 instruction to the children.

This year's boat is a Triton 21TrX with a Mercury 250 OptiMax and a MotorGuide x5 trolling motor. It also features twin Power-Poles, Lowrance electronics, Bob's hydraulic jackplate, Odyssey batteries, a Bluewater LED custom light package and many other options.

To donate, visit www.kingshome.com/news-events. Each $100 donation gives you one chance to win the boat. Donors do not have to be present to win (please indicate phone number on ticket). The event will be streamed live on Howell's Facebook page at 2 p.m. CT Saturday, Nov. 12.
