Randy Howell’s 2017 tournament boat will again be given away this year as part of a fundraising effort to benefit King's Home, a faith-based charity devoted to assisting women and children in Chelsea, Ala.
In the previous six years, more than $800,000 has been raised for the organization.
"This was our goal from the start – not to be a one and done deal,” Howell said. “We wanted to make it a big thing and make it bigger every year. Fishing people are good-hearted family people who are always willing to help.”
The winner of this year's boat will be announced on Nov. 18 as part of a youth fishing event at King's Home. Members of as many as a dozen area high school fishing teams will be present to give 1-on-1 instruction to children.
This year’s boat is a 2017 Triton 21-TRX Elite with a Mercury 250 Pro-XS. It also has two Lowrance HDS-12 3D units, a Motorguide trolling motor, Bob’s Machine Shop hydraulic jack plate, two 8-foot Power-Pole blades, custom Bluewater LED lighting package on boat and trailer, four Odyssey batteries, T-H Marine Products accessories and Hydrowave. Trailer has stainless steel fenders and 17-inch Rock Star wheel package.
To donate, visit www.kingshome.com/randyhowell. Each $100 donation gives you one chance to win the boat. Donors do not have to be present to win (please indicate phone number on ticket). The drawing will be live-streamed on Howell’s Facebook page at 2 p.m. CT on Nov. 18.
