Bradford Beavers, a Summerville, S.C. resident who's a rookie on the FLW Tour, caught a massive 31-02 stringer on day 1 of the Santee Cooper Southeastern FLW Series in his home state.
Beavers' bulging bag gave him a five-pound lead over 2nd-place Todd Olds, who sacked 26-02. Laramy Strickland was another ounce behind with 26-01, followed by Tony Couch with 24-05 and Robert Crosnoe with 24-01.
