Canadian tourney organizer fined $9,000

Canadian tourney organizer fined $9,000

Ben Woo, who operates the B1 Series tournament organization in Canada, was fined $9,000 and had his recreational fishing license suspended for 5 years for violations that occurred during a July 2019 event on the St. Lawrence River.

A reported 195 fish – many of them smallmouth in excess of 4 pounds – reportedly died at the event and dead fish were later disposed of in a garbage container.
