Leslie Redding and Anna Hokamp of the D'Iberville High School (Mississippi) bass fishing team were recently awarded scholarships to Simpson University in California. A local TV station reported that the duo placed 1st in each of its past two tournaments and is now ranked 2nd in the state among all high school teams.
Simpson University is a West Coast powerhouse that took three of the Top 8 places in an FLW-sanctioned tournament at Clear Lake in September. The team's roster includes Austin Rojas (son of Dean) and Sheldon Reese (son of Jimmy).
