Co-angler dies at Rayburn Toyota Series event

Major League Fishing confirmed Thursday afternoon that a co-angler competing in this week's Toyota Series event at Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Texas died after falling from a boat. The MLF press release stated that the boat was not running at the time of the fall.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) recovered the body of the deceased co-angler Thursday afternoon. The incident is currently under investigation by the TPWD and San Augustine County officials.

Officials have not yet released the name of the deceased angler. MLF will provide more information as it becomes available.
