Agencies studying Toledo Bend grass decline

Multiple studies are under way to determine the causes of the vegetation decline at Toledo Bend Reservoir, which has kicked out far fewer lunker bass over the past several years than it did when it was selected the top bass fishery in the country by Bassmaster Magazine in 2015-16. Vegetation coverage on the Louisiana side of the lake dropped from 9 percent in 2013 to less than 1 percent in 2020.
