Reports: Ex-tour pro Desaro dies at 52

Former tour pro Jamie "Bink" Desaro of Idaho has died, according to social media reports from Tuesday night and today. No cause of death has been revealed.

Desaro, who was 52, competed in the 2004 Bassmaster Classic. He had two runner-up finishes on the Bassmaster Tour that year – at Lake Eufaula and in the Busch Shootout at the James River. He was a competitor in the WON Bass U.S. Open at Lake Mead last October, finishing 48th.

He had recently reopened the Golden Wheel Drive-In in Boise, which his father had purchased in the 1970s. The restaurant had closed last summer, reportedly due to COVID and staffing issues.

More details will be reported when they become available.
