American Baitworks gets new VP of sales

Jay Harris has joined the team at American Baitworks as vice president of sales. Harris has worked in the fishing industry for 16 years, having spent the last 4 years as national sales manager at Savage Gear Americas, where he was integral in the sales development, growth and new product offerings.

American Baitworks will rely on Harris’ experience to grow the company’s product lines – BaitFuel, Freedom Tackle, Halo Rods, NetBait, Scum Frog, STH Bait Co. and Snag Proof.

“We are extremely pleased to have Jay join American Baitworks,” said CEO Robert Greenberg. “We are committed to investing in our brands, people and culture to drive our growth. Jay has a huge passion for fishing, like all of us at American Baitworks, as well as a depth of knowledge and experience that is a great addition to our team.”

Harris will also focus on building American Baitworks’ manufacturing business primarily on growing opportunities for bait manufacturers to leverage American Baitworks’ state-of-the-art facility in Ocean Springs, Miss., offering product design, mold manufacturing, injection molding, package design and packaging, as well as pick-and-pack fulfillment services.

“I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to join the American Baitworks family and build on the momentum the company and its brands are seeing in the industry,” said Harris. “Beyond our product brands, our manufacturing capabilities at our facility in Mississippi opens many doors for partnering with other brands to support their manufacturing needs domestically.”
