The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has launched an angler survey regarding black bass in the St. Lawrence River and the eastern portion of Lake Ontario. The first sentence of the header indicates that the agency understands the magnitude of those fisheries, but then it talks about the need to "evaluate" them because that apparently hasn't been done in a while and states that "Input on your use of these fisheries will inform the approach we take toward re-examining black bass management in these waters."
One bit of advice, NYSDEC folks: Don't screw them up!
