Hackney links up with Gamakatsu

Veteran Bassmaster Elite Series angler Greg Hackney has entered into a sponsorship deal with hook and terminal tackle manufacturer Gamakatsu.

Known for his shallow-water power fishing prowess, Hackney is looking forward to working with the team at Gamakatsu during the 2023 season and beyond that.

"Joining the Gamakatsu team for me is like getting the band back together," he said. "I started using the hooks in the '90s and never looked back. I’ve been blessed in my career to surround myself with leaders of the industry and now the circle is complete."

Gamakatsu sales manager Ted Thibault is excited to welcome Hackney to the pro staff.

"It is a great honor to add an angler with Greg’s skill level and success to our pro angling team in 2023," Thibault said. "He was already familiar with our brand and has a great technical knowledge about fish hooks and how to catch more fish with them. We look forward to working with him in the years to come."
