Z-Man's Nussbaum joins RBFF board

The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) today announced Daniel Nussbaum as the newest addition to its Board of Directors. As president of Z-Man Fishing Products, Nussbaum oversees all day-to-day operations, including manufacturing, sourcing, sales, marketing, finance, product development and distribution. Nussbaum joined Z-Man Fishing in 2008 as general manager and executive vice president. After achieving considerable growth in Z-Man’s business, he was promoted to company president in 2015.

“Daniel Nussbaum is an excellent addition to our Board of Directors, bringing a dynamic mix of knowledge and experience in the outdoors industry,” said Dave Chanda, RBFF president and CEO. “His lifelong passion for fishing is the foundation on which he’s achieved strong industry growth at Z-Man and I know his enthusiasm and strategic outlook will be a valuable addition to our board. I’m glad to welcome him aboard.”

A Charleston, S.C. native, Nussbaum grew up just steps away from the Lowcountry’s tidal waters, where he developed a strong passion for fishing. Nussbaum’s career on the water started working on offshore fishing boats through high school and college, earning degrees in biology and environmental policy. After attending the University of South Carolina School of Law and practicing law with a national civil defense firm for several years, Nussbaum left the legal profession to manage a fishing tackle shop and return to a career in the fishing industry.

Today, Nussbaum serves on the Board of Directors of the American Sportfishing Association and its Trade Show, Marketing and Market Insights committees. He currently lives in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. with his wife Allison and son Evan and still manages to get out on the water to chase redfish weekly.
