Herren says he'll no longer compete on Elite Series

Matt Herren, who had his 40th-place finish in the Bassmaster Elite Series season opener at the St. Johns River last week disqualified for an alleged violation of the no-info rule, has announced in a video posted to Facebook that he'll no longer compete on that circuit. He'll instead switch his full focus to the National Professional Fishing League.

The 62-year-old from Alabama has competed on the Elite Series since 2009 and has qualified for 10 Bassmaster Classics.
